On October 18, the phrase “Liuyang fireworks have evolved again” flooded social media. Reporters learned that on October 17, as part of the 17th Liuyang Fireworks Festival, the “Listening to the Sound of Flowers Blooming” daytime fireworks display and the “A Firework Just for Me” online fireworks festival secured two Guinness World Records for their synchronized fireworks and drone formations.
From “a single seed” to “a tree in full bloom,” the daytime fireworks display “Listening to the Sound of Flowers Blooming” used drone fireworks to create a three-dimensional, poetic daytime tableau where mountains, water, and the city intertwined with colorful fireworks. Sponsored by Liuyang Nanfeng Fireworks, supported by Gaoju Innovation, and organized by the Municipal Fireworks and Firecrackers Association, this project successfully challenged the Guinness World Record for “The World's Largest Drone Formation Flight Carrying Fireworks” with a fleet carrying 7,496 fireworks.
Meanwhile, the “My Own Firework” Online Fireworks Festival pushed the boundaries of technology and creativity once again. Against the night sky, the drone formation used the heavens as its canvas, sketching the magnificent image of the “Tree of Life” as golden fireworks cascaded like tassels. Supported by Gaoju Innovation Drones and hosted by the Municipal Fireworks and Firecrackers Association, this event saw 15,947 drones take flight simultaneously, shattering the Guinness World Record for “Most Drones Flown Simultaneously Controlled by a Single Computer” and significantly surpassing the previous record of 10,197 drones.
